This document contains installation information and the system requirements for
the RFXpress software.

* Minimum System Requirements *

- Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.1
- Windows Vista Business Edition (English Language)

2.0 GHz or Higher
512 MB RAM
15 GB Free Disk Space
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.01 and higher
.NET Framework 2.0 runtime
1024x768 display resolution with 120 dpi font size

You need to have administrator privileges to install
Tektronix RFXpress software in your system.

* Pre-requisite	              *

The following components must be installed on your instrument (PC or Tektronix
arbitrary waveform generator) for the RFXpress application to run.

.NET v2.0. The installer automatically installs .NET v2.0 if it is not present.

MATLAB Runtime version 7.9. The installer automatically installs MATLAB Runtime version 7.9
if it is not present.

* Optional Requirement        *
*******************************
TekVISA v3.3.2.7 is required only to communicate with test instruments,
such as oscilloscopes, and to transfer data. You can install TekVISA from
the application CD Browser. You can also download the latest TekVISA at
www.tektronix.com/software. To define the search criteria, use TEKVISA in
the Keyword field.

* Setup and Install Information *
*********************************

This section describes how to install the application using the InstallShield wizard. The installation program
setup.exe installs the RFXpress software. Do the following to install the RFXpress software:

1. Double click RFXpress.exe to extract the RFXpress software in the specified path.

2. To install RFXpress software double clcik RFXpress.exe from 'RFXpress' folder.

3. Follow the instructions given by the InstallShield wizard.

4. The installation follows this sequence of steps: Splash Screen, Welcome, License Agreement,
Choose Destination, Setup Status, and Installation Complete.

Click Next to continue and navigate through the InstallShield wizard.

Click Back if you want to change the settings in the previous window.

5. In the Welcome window, click Next to display the License Agreement window.
a. Read the License Agreement carefully.
b. Select the I accept the terms of the License agreement option to continue.
c. Click Print if you want to keep a hard copy of the license agreement for later reference.

6. Click Next to display the Choose Destination Location window. In the Choose Destination Location
window, do one of the following:
To install RFXpress in the default folder (C:\ProgramFiles\Tektronix\RFXpress), click Next.
To change the location where you would like to install the RFXpress software, click Browse and browse to the location.

7. Click Next to start installation. The Setup Status window displays a progress bar. RFXpress will be installed in the selected
folder with a shortcut in the Start menu.

8. Click Finish to exit.
