[V2.1 or earlier] - Setting VXI-11 Server Control status is in the System->GPIB/LAN Configuration dialog. - A channel selection context menu is displayed when you are assigning a waveform from waveform list to waveform area by using Drag & Drop. - When AWG window is minimized the RUN buttons on front panel are not available. - Single export waveform data format was supported. [V3.2 or later] - Setting VXI-11 Server Control status is removed from the System->GPIB/LAN Configuration dialog. You can set the status using TekVISA LAN Server Control in the Task Tray to Start/Stop VXI-11/Socket Server. - Direct waveform data importing via LAN/TekLink has been supported. - RSA file format importing has been supported. - Creating digital pattern data has been supported. - Waveform data re-sampling has been supported. - Immediate Jump has been supported in Force Jump To dialog. [V3.3 or later] - Table Jump has been supported in AWG5012B Op-09. - Subsequence has been supported in AWG5012B Op-09. See Release Notes.doc in the downloaded archive file for more details. ******************** * Important Notice * ******************** When AWG Software is updated from V1.x or V2.x to V3.3 in AWG7102, AWG7101, AWG7052 and AWG7051, Software will calibrate internal timing automatically at the first time RUN. After the calibration has been done, please do not reinstall the Software V1.x or V2.x. Otherwise internal calibration is required at Tektronix service again. When you communicate with this instrument via VXI-11 protocol or TekLink, you need to install TekVISA V3.3.2.7. This Software V3.3 does not support those protocols alone. ******************* * Resolved Issues * ******************* The following issues were resolved in V3.3. Identifier CR00276867 Headline UI: Cannot change GPIB/Raw Socket settings if TekVISA V3.3.0.14 is installed. Description If TekVISA V3.3.0.14 is installed, we cannot change GPIB and Raw Socket settings in GPIB/LAN Configuration dialog. This issue does not occur if TekVISA V3.3.2.7 is installed. Workaround Identifier CR00296540 Headline DB: Sequence : Sequence data is not loading correctly when we open AWG setup file. Description In the Sequence mode, we assigned waveforms to Ch1 index5, index10 and saved setup as Setup1.awg. Then we recalled the setup file, we did not find the assigned waveforms in the sequence list. Workaround The following issues were resolved in V3.2. Identifier CR00015932 Headline PI: MMEMory:IMPort does not accept ISF as a keyword. Description MMEMory:IMPort ,,ISF does not work. This command generates - 141 "Invalid character data" error. Workaround Identifier CR00276356 Headline Assertion Failed occurred in Calibration. Description "Assertion Failed" occurred in Calibration of AWG7122B. This assertion occurs when the clock mode is not Internal Reference or External Fixed Reference and the internal clock frequency is changed. Workaround Select Internal Clock Source before execution of calibration. Identifier CR00290735 Headline RFXpress does not startup at first time. Description After AWG software automatically started at power-on, RFXpress does not start. Workaround Terminate the execution of RFXpress by using Task Manager, start the RFXpress. The following issues were resolved in V3.1. Identifier CR00015364 Headline SW: Unexpected signal is output when Run Mode is changed in Interleaved Mode. Description When Zeroing is On, unexpected waveform is output about 1 second, if the Run Mode was changed. Workaround Turn off Output when changing Run Mode. Identifier CR00288905 Headline HwLib : Trigger does not work in some case when it is used with Command Jump Description When instrument is in Sequence Mode, Wait Trigger On, inputs periodic external trigger signal and receives gCommand Jumph command continuously via GPIB, output signal is stopped. Workaround The following issues were resolved in V3.0. Identifier CR00013596 Headline PI: VGPIB: MMEM:CAT? is too slow. Description Response via VGPIB takes much time. Workaround Identifier CR00014714 Headline UI: Divider Rate is incorrect in AWG500x/AWG705x models. Description When a user sets Divider Rate via UI, Divider Rate is not correct in AWG500x/AWG705x models. Workaround Identifier CR00014896 Headline DB : stdwfm : amplitude of Gaussian Noise is not correct (half of the correct value) Description Amplitude of Gaussian Noise is half of the correct value. Workaround The following issues were resolved in V2.1. Identifier JPNdb03388 Headline UI: WaveformArea: Can't input HEX number(A to F) using Front Panel Description Front Panel key has a label for HEX number input. This is intended for Hexadecimal numeric value input in the Waveform Window. But it does not work. Workaround Use PC keyboard instead. Identifier JPNdb03430 Headline UI: WaveformArea: Can't enter "-" using Front Panel Description Can not use g+/-g key on the front panel to start entering negative value. Workaround Press g+/-g key after entering the number, just before pressing Enter or Unit Prefix Key or Use PC Keyboard or Use Soft Key Pad Dialog The following issues were resolved in V2.0. Identifier JPNdb02184 Headline SW: file import fail Description File Import will fail if a lot of files are selected at a time in the file open dialog. The maximum number of the files is around 400 but it depends on the file name length. Workaround If an error message is displayed, reduce the number of the files selected in the file open dialog. Repeat the operation to import all files. Identifier JPNdb03554 Headline UI : Running Element display incorrect Description In Software Sequencer mode, Running Element index display is not correct. (Refer User Online Help, AWG Reference->Sequence->Sequencer Mode page for the description on the Software Sequencer Mode) Workaround Identifier JPNdb03566 Headline Factory Default button on the Front Panel Description Confirmation dialog is not displayed when the Factory Default button is pressed. Workaround Use Menu Bar The following issues were resolved in V1.1. Identifier JPNdb03847 Headline In AWGxxx SEQ file importing, we need to add Goto-1 at the last element of the sequence. Description AWGxxx SEQ file import does not work as they have expected. In AWGxxx, sequence execution goes back to beginning even if there is no "Goto" specified. This is the difference between AWGxxx and AWG7000. We should add Goto-1 in the last elopement of the sequence. Workaround Add Goto-1 manually after importing AWGXXX SEQ file Identifier JPNdb03859 Headline In AWGxxx SEQ file importing, Goto/Jump target are not imported correctly Description Goto line N (for example, 3) in AWGxxx is imported as Goto Line N+1 (for example 4). Workaround *************** * Calibration * *************** No calibrations are required due to this software update. ************************ * Contacting Tektronix * ************************ MyTek - One way to receive timely information on new software updates, new products from Tektronix and other useful information is to join MyTek.
